Many people experiencing issues with addiction are also dealing with mental health issues. Without a proper diagnosis, an individual may self-medicate in an effort to control the symptoms they are experiencing, thus beginning a cycle of addiction. During the evaluation process, we provide screening to ensure our clients are properly diagnosed allowing us to determine the most effective treatment plan.
The Dual Diagnosis Program is designed to tackle the complex issues of those concurrently suffering from mental health and addiction issues. Our innovative approach is grounded in scientifically based treatments. YOU ARE NOT POWERLESS AND YOU ARE NOT ALONE. At Anew Wellness we work with our clients to achieve the best treatment outcomes. Our program allows clients the opportunity to begin the process of recovery while remaining active in their personal and professional lives. We utilize group discussions and individual/family therapy to address these issues. Group therapy has proven to be an especially effective treatment for people dealing with substance abuse issues. Groups are facilitated by professional counselors and therapists.
Our group therapy topics include stress management, communication, overcoming obstacles to recovery, physical consequences of substance abuse, relapse prevention, and understanding addiction. Our family groups help loved ones understand the issues that arise as a result of addiction. Also, the presence of family plays a vital role in a patient’s well-being and can help facilitate a successful recovery. INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides time limited, multidisciplinary, multimodal structured treatment in an outpatient setting. Such programs are less intensive than a partial hospitalization program or day treatment program, but significantly more intensive than outpatient psychotherapy and medication management. Our IOP programs are three (3) hours per day, three (3) days per week for a total of nine (9) hours per week.
Clinical interventions available include modalities typically delivered in office-based settings such as individual, couple, family psychotherapy, group therapies, medication management, and psycho-educational services. Active family/significant other involvement is important, unless contraindicated. As functioning improves, the individual will receive a diminishing number of treatment hours under the close supervision of our treatment team. Our individualized treatment plans focus on acute stabilization and transition to community outpatient treatment and support groups, as needed.
